FAQs

WHO CAN SIGN UP?
Students who are currently in, or about to enter, Lower 6th Form/ Grade 12/ Junior Year of high school can sign up. This means that students who are signing up now should be planning to start university in 2025 (2024-2025 admissions cycle). Students who want to sign up are required to schedule an initial consultation (free of charge) to assess their fit for the program as well as their package choice based on their college goals. Schedule your initial consultation HERE.

Note that not everyone who signs up is accepted into our program. It would be unethical to allow all students and families to sign up and pay, knowing that the outcome may not be favorable because of factors outside of our control (grades, budget etc). While results are not guaranteed for ANY student, we have these measures in place to give our students the best chance at success. Because of this, we require that:

For students applying to the USA, who DO NOT have US citizenship/ permanent residency, one of the following requirements must be met:
-A family budget of at least USD $25,000 Per Year
-All ones in CSEC & CAPE (most students sign up before CAPE results are out, but we will discuss continuity in our program if CAPE results aren't where we need them to be)
-An SAT score of 1210 or higher + a GPA of 3.5 or higher + a family budget of at least USD $15,000 per year

For students applying to Canada, who DO NOT have Canadian citizenship, the following requirement must be met:
-A family budget of at least USD $30,000 per year

For students applying to UK, who DO NOT have UK citizenship, the following requirement must be met:
-A family budget of at least USD $30,000 per year
*Note also that for UK citizens who have lived outside of the UK for the past 3 years, international fees will apply
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SIGN UP?
The earlier the better! Students can sign up as early as August during the summer after 5th form/grade 11. Students who sign up early have more time to work with us, and we will begin workshops from October/ November 2024. However, we typically see the vast majority of students signing up between January and June. Our program is usually full by mid June.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO SIGN UP?
1. Schedule an initial consultation with us. During this meeting we will assess your goals, budget, and the basics of your college profile to 1) Determine your fit for the program and 2) Your best suited package. Schedule HERE.

2. If we give you the green light to sign up (determined from our initial consultation), fill out the sign up form on THIS PAGE. Indicate the package you want (if you're unsure what package, select "unsure").

3. Wait for an email from us with the payment details.

4. Make a deposit, and email helpdesk.collegequo@gmail.com (our admin email) with a confirmation of your payment.

5. Receive the initial questionnaires from us to get started!
Are payment plans available?
Yes. It's typically 50% up front, and you can pay in 2 payments of the remaining 50%. If this doesn't work for you, let us know.
CAN I SIGN UP IF I AM NOT LOCATED IN JAMAICA?
Absolutely! All of our programs are online, and we work with many students who we have never met in-person. No matter where you are from, you will benefit from our full-range of services.
WHAT COUNTRIES DO YOU HELP STUDENTS TO APPLY TO?
We will help students apply anywhere in the world that they want to. There is no limit. However, our expertise lies primarily with the US, Canada and the UK. But we have helped students to apply to Asia, Australia, and Europe outside of the UK.
DO YOU GIVE OUT SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND UNIVERSITY?
No. We help students to find and apply to universities, as well as secure scholarships. We do not distribute funds of our own. The scholarships that our students receive are entirely from universities themselves.
do you help students to find scholarships after getting in to university?
No. We help students to obtain scholarships directly from the universities that they are applying to. These scholarships are typically awarded upon admission. We do not help with finding and applying to privately-funded, non-profit based, or corporate scholarships.
I AM TAKING A GAP YEAR BEFORE UNIVERSITY, WHEN SHOULD I SIGN UP?
Sign up as early as the summer after Lower 6th form (i.e. when. you are about to enter Upper 6th form) or up to June during Upper 6th form. We will help you to plan your gap year to boost your college profile and maximize acceptances.
I APPLIED TO UNIVERSITY AND DID NOT GET THE ACCEPTANCES OR SCHOLARSHIPS THAT I WANT. CAN I SIGN UP?
This is case dependent. You should schedule a consultation to discuss your profile and determine whether you would be a good fit for college prep with us. In this case, you would have to take a gap year. We have worked with many gap year students after they applied initially, and they all achieved superior results after working with us and reapplying.
What is a late enrollment fee and why do you have one?
Our late enrollment fee is meant to combat the high demand for our college prep services in the latter stages of the admissions cycle. We want to incentivize students to sign up as early as possible, and also account for the extra work that our team has to undergo to accommodate students who sign up later on in the process. Because of the quick turn-around needed for late-comers, a 20% fee will be added to any admissions package. For the 2023-2024 application cycle, our surge rates start as of June 1, 2023. Any student signing up after June 1 will be charged an additional 20% to their typical package price.
DO YOU HELP WITH BOARDING SCHOOL OR GRADUATE SCHOOL ADMISSION?
We do not have programs for boarding school admission. For graduate school admission, we are partnered with GradQuo, a company that specializes in Graduate and phD programs. To view options for GradQuo, head to collegequo.com/gradquo.
I CANNOT AFFORD YOUR FEES. WHAT CAN I DO?
You can apply to our College Fellows Foundation program that will waive the fee of USD $1450 for our ALPHA prep package. Students applying to this program must have all ones in CSEC, have strong extra curricular activities and leadership positions, and demonstrate financial need. To read more, click HERE. Please note that we accept less than 10% of our applicants for this highly competitive fellowship.
WHAT IS COLLEGE QUO'S RELATIONSHIP WITH HILLEL ACADEMY?
We have a partnership with Hillel Academy, an international school based in Kingston. Under this partnership we provide college prep services to the Hillel Grade 12 students. We also work with students from numerous high schools across Jamaica and the Caribbean. The program is exactly the same for Hillel students and those students signing up from other high schools.
Are acceptances and scholarships guaranteed?
Our students have achieved superb results, including major scholarships. However, we cannot guarantee acceptances and scholarships. We do our absolute best to help students to stand out in the application process and achieve scholarships, and will continue to do so. There are numerous factors outside of our control, the primary one being student grades, that affect eligibility for admission.
